Specifically, on July 9, 2024, the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei received Official Letter No. 1132003749 dated July 4, 2024 from the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA). The Official Letter stated that, based on information on state inspection management of enterprises producing flour products and related documents provided by Vietnam, TFDA conducted an assessment, completed the written inspection process and closed the case file.
TFDA requested that Vietnam continue to inspect enterprises producing wheat flour products exported to Taiwan; urge and guide enterprises to manage documents related to food hygiene and safety, in order to ensure hygiene and safety for products exported to Taiwan.
Thus, after nearly 17 months (from February 2023 to present), Vietnam has passed the TFDA's document review test for the request for Vietnamese management agencies and exporting enterprises to provide information on food safety control procedures for wheat flour products.
