This year’s badminton tournament has the participation of athletes who are journalists, officials, workers, civil servants, and agencies in the province with 8 delegations and 9 participating units with nearly 30 athletes. The athletes compete in 4 events: Men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles.

Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Journalists Association Hoang Ngoc Sy said that this open badminton tournament attracted many athletes who are journalists, officials and civil servants of press agencies and departments and branches in the province to participate in the competition.
The tournament is a healthy and useful playground for Journalists' Associations and affiliated Journalists' Clubs, thereby improving health and physical fitness for cadres and members, and building a healthy cultural and sports lifestyle among cadres and members of press agencies in the province.
The tournament will also discover many outstanding individuals and groups to train into excellent athletes, ready to compete in provincial tournaments and regional press sports competitions nationwide.
This is also an opportunity for units and athletes to exchange, learn from each other, strengthen solidarity to successfully carry out professional tasks together.

With the spirit of solidarity and noble sportsmanship, after the opening ceremony, the athletes entered the competition and contributed many exciting and thrilling matches with the enthusiastic cheers of a large audience. This morning, the tournament took place with 11 matches of men's doubles and women's singles, and in the afternoon, 7 matches of men's singles and mixed doubles continued.
