The program was attended by the Head of the Diplomatic Corps and a large number of diplomatic corps in Islamabad; a number of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, businesses and hundreds of students from art schools in Islamabad. The event also attracted a large number of local media to attend and report extensively on this impressive fashion show.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan highlighted the significance of the event, with the message affirming that cultural exchange is the shortest way for peoples to learn and cooperate with each other. Through the Ao Dai performance by the Embassy staff and students of the Niftyphere Pakistan Academy of Arts, the Ambassador hopes that the audience will have good feelings about one of the rich, diverse and unique cultural features of Vietnam. The Ambassador emphasized that through this meaningful cultural exchange activity, Pakistani people and foreign friends will understand, love and spread more information about the country, people and unique culture of Vietnam.
The audience was very excited and deeply impressed with the Ao Dai performance of the Vietnamese delegation. With the melodious music of the song “Hello Vietnam” and a video clip introducing Vietnam tourism, the officers, staff and children of the Vietnamese Embassy in Pakistan showed off their neat, confident and professional “catwalk” steps, which were highly appreciated by the audience and the organizers.
