Mac cot is a fruit tree that often grows in the mountainous provinces of Northern Vietnam, especially in Bao Lac district, Cao Bang province.
Mac cot flowers usually bloom in spring, white like pear flowers. Flowers bloom in clusters of 3-5 flowers, covering the hills in white, looking extremely beautiful.
These days, on the roads and hamlets in Xuan Truong commune, Bao Lac district, everywhere is a pure white color of flowers.
In early spring, Bao Lac often organizes festivals. In recent years, in addition to harvesting mac cot fruits, when the trees bloom, the locality also takes advantage of the opportunity to develop tourism.
Each pure white flower petal always attracts tourists from near and far. Mr. Hoang Van Tan (a tourist from Vinh Long) - shared: "Every early spring, we (a group of 7 people) often come to Cao Bang, first to immerse ourselves in the natural scenery, then to satisfy our passion for hunting for beautiful photos. We never miss the Mac Cot flower trees".
The pure white pear blossoms in the early morning mist of the highlands, or gently swaying in the evening breeze, bring an interesting experience to anyone who sets foot here.
If you go from Hanoi, the distance to Xuan Truong commune (Bao Lac) is quite far, requiring about 7 hours of continuous travel. Currently, the 15-storey pass (Khau Coc Cha) is under repair, making travel even more difficult.
