Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Flower Festival, Secretary of Me Linh District Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Liem said that in recent years, along with promoting industrial and urban development; the district has paid special attention to expanding the traditional flower growing village with nearly 2,000 hectares, associated with trade and tourism; bringing the Me Linh flower brand to all regions of the country and international friends; making Me Linh rise from the homeland of the first two queens in the history of the nation to the homeland of roses - the "queen" of flowers. Me Linh District identifies the Flower Festival as a large-scale cultural - tourism - trade promotion event, of great significance in stimulating the consumption of flowers and agricultural products; contributing to improving the income and life of the people; making the Me Linh Flower Festival a meeting place for tourists, while affirming the spirit of innovation and creativity and the desire to reach out and make a strong breakthrough of Me Linh in the new era: "The era of national rise".

Following the success of the first Flower Festival welcoming more than 100,000 visitors, the second Me Linh Flower Festival was held on a scale of nearly 10,000m2, taking place in 4 days (from December 26 to 29), artisans arranged and designed according to each theme with 10 main modules, 8 miniatures decorated with flowers from Me Linh land; combined with lighting technology, creating a space that is both modern, poetic and colorful. Walking in the space of scent, color and light, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of thousands of flowers competing to bloom; admire the delicate works of art decorated by the talented and skillful hands of artisans; feel the magical creativity, endless love of nature of people and the vitality, strong growth of Me Linh land today.

In addition, the area displaying and introducing artistic flower products of Me Linh and neighboring districts (Gia Lam, Phuc Tho, etc.) is an important activity to preserve and promote the values of flower growing villages in the capital Hanoi.
