In the 71st minute, Nam Dinh had a very dangerous counter-attack and Rafaelson scored again against Thanh Hoa. But the referee disallowed the goal. However, after checking VAR, the referee recognized Rafaelson's goal and 3-0 for Nam Dinh.

By the 74th minute, Thanh Hoa had only 10 players left on the field when defender Gustavo (Thanh Hoa) received a red card for reacting too violently to the referee.
