The launch of the National Brands page of Nhan Dan Newspaper aims to develop Vietnamese brands, attract investment and enhance national competitiveness.
Building the image of Vietnam as a country with prestige in goods and services
On the afternoon of October 22, 2024, in Hanoi, Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade launched the National Brand website (at http://thuonghieuquocgia.nhandan.vn). For the first time, Vietnam will have a website providing a comprehensive, official data system, presented in a modern and intuitive way about the country's leading product brands and enterprises.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association - said that currently, many Vietnamese brands have reached world stature such as Viettel, Vinamilk... However, building, developing and protecting brands is still a weakness of domestic enterprises. The National Brands page on Nhan Dan Newspaper - the central agency of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and at the same time one of the six main multimedia press agencies of the country - with comprehensive and transparent information about each enterprise and product will be a very reputable search channel at home and abroad.
The National Brand page includes 4 main sections: Brand, Enterprise, News, Multimedia. Readers can look up and learn in detail about enterprise product brands by industry, field, year of achieving national brand...; special photo and video collections about the production process, building products achieving national brands. The page also has content and topics to protect brands, build the image of Vietnam as a country with prestige for high-quality goods and services.
The highlight of the National Brand page is that each enterprise with a product that meets the national brand will have its own page, designed in a modern, highly interactive way. Each enterprise's own page includes: (1) Enterprise information: Introducing the logo, detailed information about the enterprise/product (2) News: News and articles related to the enterprise/product in Nhan Dan Newspaper and some official press agencies related to the enterprise/product, (3) Press releases: Enterprises post press releases about the enterprise/product, (4) Multimedia: Posting photos, infographics, videos about the enterprise and product.

“ After launching the Vietnamese page, in the coming time, Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will coordinate to build an English version. We look forward to receiving the cooperation and support of agencies and businesses so that the page can be increasingly improved, contributing to promoting and developing Vietnamese brands, attracting investment and improving national competitiveness, bringing the country into an era of the rise of the Vietnamese people ,” said comrade Le Quoc Minh.
Elevating Vietnamese brand position
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Hong Dien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade, Chairman of the Vietnam National Brand Council - said that the Vietnam National Brand program is a unique, long-term and specific trade promotion program, approved and directed by the Prime Minister since 2003, with the goal of building and developing national brands through product brands, contributing to improving national competitiveness, raising the position of Vietnamese brands and promoting foreign trade development.
According to Minister Nguyen Hong Dien, after 21 years of implementation, with the attention and leadership of the Party and State leaders; the active and effective participation of Central Committees, ministries, branches, and organizations, and localities; the outstanding efforts of the business community with the aspiration for a strong and prosperous Vietnam, the Vietnam National Brand program has achieved many positive results, attracted special attention and created great prestige for the business community, as well as domestic and foreign consumers, becoming a solid launching pad for Vietnamese enterprises to rise up, creating new values and strengths for the country.

"As the standing agency of the program, over the past years, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has been actively coordinating with ministries, branches, central and local agencies; socio-political organizations, industry associations and international partners to effectively implement the key contents of the program; in which the content of propaganda and promotion for the program associated with promoting products achieving the Vietnam National Brand is given special attention" - the Minister of Industry and Trade emphasized.
Recognizing the importance of information and propaganda work for promoting, developing and protecting Vietnamese brands, especially on large, multimedia media platforms with great prestige and influence on the domestic and international press system in recent times, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has actively coordinated with Nhan Dan Newspaper to develop a specialized page on Vietnam National Brand on Nhan Dan Electronic Newspaper to provide a comprehensive and official information and data system on the Vietnam National Brand program and enterprises and products achieving the National Brand.
"After 1 year of implementation, with the efforts of all parties, the Vietnam National Brand website has been completed and officially put into operation" - Minister Nguyen Hong Dien shared.
According to Minister Nguyen Hong Dien, this is an important event, marking the formation of an official information channel on outstanding activities of the Vietnam National Brand program and enterprises and products achieving national brands, as well as introducing and promoting leading national brands and trademarks, thereby raising social awareness of the role, significance, importance and necessity of building, protecting and developing brands in production, business and investment activities of enterprises; at the same time, building and promoting the image of Vietnam as a country with a reputation for high-quality goods and services in the domestic and international markets, contributing to improving national competitiveness and increasing the pride and attractiveness of the land and people of Vietnam.

"In the coming time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade hopes to continue to receive more attention and support from agencies, organizations and individuals so that the National Brand program can achieve the expected results, contributing to building, consolidating and developing Vietnamese brands both domestically and internationally," said Minister Nguyen Hong Dien.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade pledges to continue to closely coordinate with Nhan Dan Newspaper and relevant agencies and units to effectively operate and maintain the Vietnam National Brands website, meeting the increasing information needs of all levels, sectors, business communities as well as domestic and international consumers.
