Reporting to the Prime Minister, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee, said that the project has two construction packages, with construction output up to now reaching more than 14%, 26% behind schedule.
The Provincial People's Committee has directed investors and contractors to mobilize equipment and human resources to focus on construction to make up for the progress immediately after sand is available.
"The entire route has two intersections, one with National Highway 61C and one with the longitudinal expressway. The province has planned to invest in building industrial parks along the route and intersections to take advantage of these intersections.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the Chau Doc-Can Tho-Soc Trang expressway is extremely important, connecting the main expressway route. Creating room for localities, including Hau Giang, to develop.
The province proposes to add an additional intersection adjacent to Can Tho and the north of Xa No canal in the area of provincial road 929, contributing to the development of Xa No canal, connecting with Can Tho," the Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee proposed.
Informing the Prime Minister further, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee, said that the proposed location for investment in the intersection is the most populous district (Phung Hiep district) of the province, where people's lives are still difficult.
In addition, this intersection is about 10km from Lung Ngoc Hoang tourist area. Therefore, investing in an additional intersection is extremely important, contributing to the economic development of the district in particular and Hau Giang province in general.
Responding to these recommendations, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang said that he basically agreed with the province's proposal. At the same time, he suggested that Hau Giang add the arrangement of intersections connecting expressways with the local transport network to the planning. Research and prioritize capital allocation and proactively mobilize resources for investment.
