National Assembly adds personnel work content to June 6 work agenda

In the morning , the National Assembly continued to question Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung on the fourth group of issues in the fields of culture, sports and tourism.

Next, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, authorized by the Prime Minister, clarified a number of issues in the four groups of questions and directly answered the questions.

This is the second time the National Assembly has decided to adjust the agenda of the 7th session, adding personnel work content.

Previously, on the afternoon of May 21, based on the opinions of competent authorities, implementing legal provisions and practical requirements to perfect the State apparatus, after considering the Prime Minister's proposal, the National Assembly Standing Committee decided to supplement the content of approving the Prime Minister's proposal on the dismissal of the Minister of Public Security from office.

General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, was elected President on the morning of May 22, 2024.

On the same day, the National Assembly passed a resolution approving the Prime Minister's proposal to dismiss Mr. To Lam from his position as Minister of Public Security. The Prime Minister then assigned Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security, to manage the operations of the Ministry of Public Security until the competent authority completes the position of Minister of Public Security according to regulations.

Also related to personnel work, at the 7th session, the National Assembly elected Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man as Chairman of the National Assembly.

Currently, the leadership structure of the National Assembly includes: National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and 3 Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly: Nguyen Duc Hai, Nguyen Khac Dinh and Tran Quang Phuong.
