(Fatherland) - On the afternoon of February 10, the "Khai Xuan" fine arts exhibition opened at the Center for Appraisal and Exhibition of Fine Arts and Photography (29 Hang Bai, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi). The exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions. It is a cultural and artistic activity at the beginning of the year, celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, celebrating the Spring of At Ty 2025, and celebrating the country entering a new era.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized: "Khai Xuan" is the first art exhibition of the year of At Ty organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions. The exhibition introduces 58 paintings and sculptures by 29 painters and sculptors, who have made great contributions to the development of the fine arts industry, who are former officials who have worked or participated in professional activities organized by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions, famous artists and young artists with professional expertise, who are gradually asserting their position in the country's art scene.
Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong delivered the opening speech at the Exhibition.
The exhibition "Khai Xuan" has the participation of 3 generations of artists, from the oldest artist at 83 years old, painter Ngo Quang Nam, former Director of the Department of Fine Arts and Photography, to the youngest artist Vu Thuy Mai at 35 years old, which can give us a relatively complete and comprehensive view of current Vietnamese fine arts with a team of authors rich in creative energy.
The rich materials are skillfully and skillfully expressed by the authors with emotional brushwork in oil paintings, the simple serenity of silk and Do paper, the splendid gold and red in lacquer works, the solidity of bronze and the richness of synthetic materials... have brought unique aesthetic values.

Painter Ngo Quang Nam, former Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions, assessed that "Khai Xuan" is a beautiful exhibition, gathering many typical works on many materials. In particular, paintings include lacquer, oil, acrylic, and other materials; sculptures also have many materials such as bronze, iron, composite...; silk paintings, wind paper paintings... The fine art works displayed at the exhibition have new discoveries, bringing to the public deep feelings about Spring, seeing Spring as if it were condensed in each work and seeing the vitality of Spring in each work...
Painter Le Anh Van, former principal of the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, shared that coming to the exhibition, one can feel the spring atmosphere with impressive moments, hidden inside each work containing the artist’s thoughts and concerns. The rhythm and language in the paintings help the public feel and share the joyful atmosphere full of spring colors…
