The leader of Bac Giang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company said that this year's Lunar New Year will last 9 days, from January 25, 2025 to February 2, 2025 (ie December 26, Giap Thin year - January 5, At Ty year).

This is an important holiday for every Vietnamese person. Due to the impact of "illegal vehicles, disguised contract vehicles, shared vehicles and other types" and the rapid development of private vehicles, it is predicted that passenger travel demand will not increase dramatically.

Bac Giang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company always focuses on investing and upgrading vehicles to best serve people's travel needs.

Currently, the average seat utilization rate of means of transport is very low, only reaching about 35%, so it still meets the travel needs of passengers. According to the rule, peak days usually start from January 19, 2025 - February 7, 2025 (ie December 20, Giap Thin year - January 10, At Ty year).

This is the time when students, university students, and freelance workers start their Lunar New Year holiday and return home to prepare for the Kitchen God ceremony and celebrate the traditional New Year.

This year, due to the impact of the global economic recession, domestic enterprises have encountered many difficulties and had to reduce production and business, the workforce has been cut, leading to unemployment, so the number of tourists is expected not to increase dramatically but to increase slightly before the start of the State holiday and before the return to work. During this time, the number of tourists increases by about 30 - 35% compared to normal days.

With the current operation of means of transport, the seat utilization rate is only 35%, so it still meets the travel needs of passengers. However, for some routes to Hanoi such as My Dinh, Gia Lam and Yen Nghia, congestion may occur at certain times, so it is necessary to arrange spare vehicles on the route to increase passenger clearance.

Currently, Bac Giang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company has made a plan, ready to serve the travel needs of people before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025.

Therefore, the company has mobilized 100% of the available vehicles on the routes to serve, in addition to arranging 5 reserve contract vehicles to increase passenger clearance when necessary. The organization assigns officers and employees to operate, closely monitor the travel situation of passengers at the terminals and have plans to regulate vehicles to clear passengers when there is a sudden increase.

Environmental sanitation work such as vehicle hygiene is always maintained clean and disease prevention measures are adapted to safety flexibly. Before being put into operation, vehicles must ensure technical safety conditions and environmental protection.

The company also thoroughly educates each driver and service staff on the vehicle to always enhance the sense of responsibility to serve passengers thoughtfully, safely, civilly, politely, and consciously comply with traffic safety laws.

It is strictly forbidden to speed, overtake recklessly, exceed the speed limit, violate driving time, carry the correct load, do not drive under the influence of alcohol, do not use drugs, do not transport flammable and explosive goods, prohibited goods, livestock, poultry and livestock and poultry products of unknown origin, without medical quarantine certificates, clear all passengers at bus stations so that no passengers remain at the station and cannot catch a bus home for Tet.

No fare increase

Specifically, the buses serving Tet to the southern provinces will depart on January 25, 2025, which is December 26 of the lunar calendar. The company will arrange buses accordingly depending on the number of passengers. The buses departing after January 25, 2025 will stop operating.

After Tet, from February 1, 2025 (the 4th day of Tet), the vehicles will run according to the registered schedule, based on the passenger traffic, the company will arrange appropriate vehicles.

In particular, during this year's Tet holiday, despite forecasting high travel demand, Bac Giang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company pledges not to increase ticket prices.

For routes serving the Northern provinces: Until January 27, 2025 (ie the 29th of Tet), all vehicles will operate normally. On January 28, 2025 (ie the 30th of Tet), vehicles traveling back and forth during the day will operate normally (depending on actual demand and passenger traffic, the company will arrange and regulate vehicles accordingly). In particular, vehicles traveling back and forth will stop operating for 2 days.

During the service period of the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025 from January 19, 2025 to January 28, 2025 and from February 4, 2025, the company will arrange vehicles to operate continuously to ensure meeting the travel needs of the people.

Based on the actual travel needs of the people, to be proactive in cases where the number of passengers increases suddenly and needs to quickly and promptly dispatch vehicles to relieve passengers, the company's fleet will arrange 5 contract vehicles every day and each route will arrange 1 to 2 vehicles as backup vehicles (with an appendix listing the vehicles, drivers and service staff on the vehicles attached) on a regular basis, ready to reinforce when necessary during the Tet service period.

In particular, Bac Giang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company commits not to increase ticket prices but to follow the declared and registered ticket prices with the Department of Finance, the Department of Transport of Bac Giang province and the People's Committee of Bac Giang city.
