In the atmosphere of the beginning of the Year of the Dragon, the working delegation of Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VIMC) led by Deputy General Director Le Quang Trung visited, encouraged and launched the emulation movement at 3 joint venture seaports of VIMC in Cai Mep - Thi Vai area, including: CMIT, SSIT and SP - PSA ports.
The visit is an annual activity that demonstrates the deep concern of VIMC's leaders for its member units, while also motivating all officers and employees of the joint venture ports to strive for new successes in 2025.
2024 marked a successful year for all three joint venture ports CMIT, SSIT and SP-PSA. Overcoming challenges from unstable geopolitical situations and global economic recession, the ports achieved encouraging business results and growth, demonstrating dynamism and efficiency in management and operations.
Among them, CMIT Port made a special mark when achieving impressive results. Although initially expected to lose 3 million dollars, thanks to continuous efforts and effective financial management solutions, the port ended the year with a net profit of 3.2 million dollars.
In addition, CMIT Port was also selected as the only main port in Vietnam of the Gemini Alliance, a major maritime alliance in the world. This is an important milestone, affirming the port's position and international competitiveness.
At the meeting, Deputy General Director Le Quang Trung highly appreciated the contributions of the three joint venture ports to the overall success of VIMC in the past year. He emphasized the important role of the three joint venture ports in the overall development of Cai Mep deep-water gateway port and in connecting Vietnam's import and export trade with the world.
On the occasion of the New Year, Mr. Trung sent his best wishes to all officers and employees of the three joint venture ports and launched a labor emulation movement, calling for solidarity, creativity and innovation to successfully complete the goals in 2025.
