The Vice President visited Tinh Bien town to award 25 scholarships to disadvantaged students in the area, and attended the event where Vietcombank donated 5 billion VND to build Tuoi Tho kindergarten in An Cu commune, Tinh Bien town.

On the afternoon of April 25, during a working trip to meet voters in An Giang province, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited Tinh Bien town to present 25 scholarships to disadvantaged students in the area, and attended the event where Vietcombank donated 5 billion VND to build Tuoi Tho kindergarten in An Cu commune, Tinh Bien town.

Mr. Phan Van Cuong, Secretary of Tinh Bien town, sincerely thanked the Vice President and the bank leaders for their valuable support and affection for Tinh Bien. “This valuable support is a great source of encouragement and motivation for the Party Committee and people of Tinh Bien. In particular, the education sector has a new, spacious school to teach children in remote areas and ethnic minority areas to gradually improve people's knowledge and develop sustainably,” said Mr. Phan Van Cuong.

Previously, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan also had a meeting with voters in Tri Ton district and Long Xuyen city. Thereby, the Vice President acknowledged the proposal of voters in An Giang province on the need for a regional-scale industrial park to create jobs for people in the Mekong Delta. In addition, voters also proposed that the National Assembly develop a legal mechanism to limit tobacco, especially e-cigarettes, which are causing harm to young people.
