Promoting the role of the press in protecting dynamic, creative, daring and doing cadres

According to journalist Doan Minh Long, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Journalists Association: On September 22, 2021, the Politburo issued Conclusion No. 14-KL/TW on the policy of encouraging and protecting dynamic and creative cadres for the common good. This policy is likened to a breath of fresh air that positively impacts social psychology and creates confidence, aspiration, and will to strive to overcome difficulties and be creative for cadres and party members, promptly removing urgent bottlenecks.

Accordingly, Khanh Hoa Provincial Journalists Association organized this workshop which is both timely and has profound theoretical and practical significance, contributing to Party building, State management and press and media activities, both in work and theoretical research.

Speaking at the workshop, journalist Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that through this workshop, journalists need to promote the implementation of the social responsibility of the press, accurately, multi-dimensionally and diversely reflect social reality... providing valuable information, adding a voice to help the Party and State continue to perfect the incentive mechanism; protect cadres with innovative thinking, daring to think, daring to do, daring to make breakthroughs.

The workshop received over 30 presentations from scientists, journalists, and press managers at the central and local levels. Delegates listened to a number of presentations and discussed issues including: The press and the protection of dynamic, creative, daring, and responsible cadres for the common good; Khanh Hoa's breakthrough in science, technology, and training of high-quality marine human resources; some solutions to build a team of young cadres; creating a favorable environment to promote the role of high-quality human resources in the construction and development of Khanh Hoa province today.

In addition, delegates also discussed issues including: Clarifying the content and theoretical system on the issue of "dare to think, dare to speak, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common good"; coordination between provincial agencies and the press in disseminating the implementation of Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW dated November 17, 2022 of the 6th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee on continuing to innovate the Party's leadership and governance methods over the political system in the new period.

Delegates also discussed issues related to the content of promoting the role of the press in building a team of cadres who dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common interest, meeting the requirements and tasks of the locality in the new period; social responsibility and professional ethics of journalists when reporting on current Party building and cadre work.
