In Quang Ngai province, the Organizing Committee presented 200 gifts to fishermen (each gift worth more than 5 million VND), including: Batteries, LED bulbs, medicine bags, handbook "Things to know about catching seafood", combo box of eagle batteries, specialized rope rolls and shopping vouchers worth 1 million VND.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also gave 50 gifts to fishermen, and the remaining 150 gifts were delivered to localities to hand out to outstanding fishermen in difficult circumstances. 25 scholarships were awarded to students from fishing families who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies; at the same time, 1 special scholarship was awarded to a student in difficult circumstances with the highest English score and 5 tablets with learning tools to 5 students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies in the locality.
Mr. Mai Ngoc Phuoc, Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper, Head of the Program Steering Committee, said that Quang Ngai province is the 13th coastal province of the country and the 5th province of the beloved Central region that the program "Lighting up the sea with fishermen" has set foot in.
The program takes place in the context that Quang Ngai and many other coastal provinces and cities are working with the Government to strongly promote solutions to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
