According to the report, one of the outstanding annual professional activities of the Southern Hau River Cluster Journalists Association is the organization of the Spring Press Festival. This year, 6/7 Journalists Associations of the Southern Hau River provinces and cities organized the Spring Press Festival of Giap Thin 2024. Within the framework of the event, there was also an exhibition of paintings and photos on the achievements in economic, cultural - social, security - defense development of each province and city.
The Journalists' Associations in the Cluster have all organized the summaries of traditional press awards, such as: Tran Ngoc Hy Traditional Press Award (Ca Mau), Phan Ngoc Hien Traditional Press Award (Can Tho), Bac Lieu Traditional Press Award, Hau Giang, An Giang, Kien Giang, Soc Trang. The Journalists' Associations of provinces and cities in the South of Hau River participated in the 2023 National Press Award and many individuals and groups in the Journalists' Associations won high awards, such as: Hau Giang, Ca Mau, Soc Trang, Kien Giang, Can Tho.

The conference listened to opinions from representatives of the leaders of the Journalists' Associations in the Cluster, hoping that the Vietnam Journalists' Association and localities would provide guidance, support and share experiences and plans to well organize activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
Local Journalists Associations also requested the Vietnam Journalists Association to connect and support local press agencies in training and fostering professional skills according to demand; local press agencies need to have orientations on content and forms of propaganda to have quality press works to participate in regional and central press awards...
Speaking at the conference, journalist Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said: From now until the end of the year, the Journalists Associations of provinces and cities will focus on preparing well and completing the content of the plan to organize activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
