From the beginning of the year to March 15, 2023, Binh Duong Customs Department has detected and handled 302 cases of law violations, an increase of 138 cases compared to the same period in 2022. The value of the violating goods is estimated at nearly 10 billion VND. Of which, nearly 46.470 billion VND in tax arrears and nearly 3.5 billion VND in administrative fines. 2,803 containers of 1,253 declarations were inspected through X-ray machines, thereby detecting 7 cases, with an administrative fine of 6.758 million VND and a collection of more than 34.894 billion VND. The violations are mainly imports of incorrect origin, undeclared imports, exports of incorrect container numbers, etc.
The application of goods inspection via X-ray machines has brought many practical benefits to import and export activities in the area, especially for businesses with large volumes of import and export goods. This work continues to support businesses in shortening customs clearance time, reducing loading/unloading costs, improving legal compliance, promptly detecting violations and effectively combating smuggling and trade fraud.
