The first Martial Arts Festival held in Binh Duong attracted the participation of 15 units from districts, cities, Associations, and Martial Arts Federations in the province with 251 martial artists performing in 10 martial arts: Vovinam, Taekwondo, Karate, Traditional Martial Arts, Tan Khanh Ba Tra Martial Arts, Judo, Wushu, Pencak Silat, Muay Thai and Arnis (stick martial arts).

Speaking at the Festival, Mr. Bui Huu Toan - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that currently, the martial arts movement in the province has developed quite strongly. Martial arts that attract thousands of students to practice such as Vovinam, Taekwondo, Karate, Traditional Martial Arts, Tan Khanh Ba Tra Martial Arts... have contributed significantly to supplementing resources for the development of high-performance sports. In recent years, martial arts athletes in the province have competed and achieved many high results in international and national arenas; many athletes and coaches have been honored to contribute their talents to national martial arts teams.
