Launching the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign and activities in response to the Month of Action for Children in 2023

(BĐ) - On the morning of May 28 , at Victory Square (Quy Nhon City), the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee coordinated with the Secretariat of the Provincial Vietnam Youth Union, the Provincial Young Pioneer Council, and the Provincial Vietnam Student Association to organize the launching ceremony of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign and activities in response to the Month of Action for Children 2023 . The campaign attracted 700 cadres, youth union members, students and people to participate.

The 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign takes place from June 1 to August 31 , with the motto : Widespread, safe, effective, associated with political tasks and practical needs of each locality and unit. Accordingly , the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have identified 11 specific targets to implement in the 2023 Summer Campaign , including: Organizing at least 50,000 youth union members to participate in volunteer activities deployed by the Youth Union and Association; implementing at least 537 youth projects and tasks ; organizing medical examinations, treatment and free medicine distribution for 1,000 people ; 100 % of district, town and city Youth Unions organize career counseling for 2,000 youth union members and students; Introduce jobs for at least 300 young people, of which at least 15% of introduced young people have stable jobs ; 100% of districts, towns, city unions, and affiliated unions organize at least 1 activity to implement the " Anti-plastic waste " movement associated with the activities "Volunteer Saturday" and "Green Sunday "; build at least 1 new activity and entertainment spot for young people, "For beloved juniors" project ; train startup knowledge for at least 300 young people ; each district, town, and city union supports at least 3 startup, career, and innovation projects and has at least 1 activity to support the construction of OCOP products ; 100% of districts , towns, and city unions continue to maintain efficiency and build at least 1 new street in civilized urban areas with the criteria of "bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe" ; Supported the implementation and realization of 80 ideas and initiatives of the Youth Union; organized 8,000 youth to participate in activities to support the improvement of foreign language skills and international integration; 100% of commune, ward and town unions effectively maintained the "Youth Digital Technology Team" and "Youth Volunteer Team to Perform Online Public Services" to support the improvement of digital skills for youth and people ; 100% of district, town and city unions launched the implementation of cleaning and landscaping at least 1 black spot of waste in the area.

In addition, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province also deployed 1 program and 4 campaigns in the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, including: Exam Support Program , Green Summer Campaign, Pink Vacation Campaign, Green March Campaign and Red Flamboyant Campaign.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Ha Duy Trung hoped that the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign would spread widely, attract a large number of young union members and children to participate and achieve the best results . To achieve his wishes, he suggested that district, town, city and affiliated youth unions select implementation contents with focus and key points associated with the political tasks and practical needs of each locality and unit; proactively advise Party committees and authorities at all levels and coordinate with relevant units in utilizing resources to support the implementation of the campaign. Activities in the campaign must ensure that they are organized practically, with appropriate and effective methods for each content, actively participating in the recovery of production and socio-economy of the locality after the pandemic . All levels of the Youth Union , Association and Team actively research to innovate the methods of activities in a creative direction, strongly applying science and technology, need to determine which activities after the campaign must continue to be monitored and coordinated , from which to propose a new implementation roadmap . During the Month of Action for Children, Youth Union, Association and Team bases must closely coordinate with the school Youth Union to hand over, receive and manage children in summer activities in the locality; organize summer activities, culture, entertainment, physical education, sports, sightseeing and exchange with useful content, appropriate forms, preserve and promote national cultural identity, especially organize activities on skills to prevent violence and abuse in children, skills to prevent accidents and injuries ; organize free swimming lessons and free English lessons for children in remote areas...

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented 10 gifts to support policy households with difficult circumstances in the province ; 20 bicycles for children with difficult circumstances in Quy Nhon City ; 2 playgrounds for children from recycled waste ; and donated the project "Lighting up the Countryside Roads" to Hoai Tan Ward (Hoai Nhon Town).
