U.22 Thailand continued to prove their strength as a championship candidate when they defeated U.22 Laos with a score of 4-1 in the match on May 8. The team led by coach Issara Sritaro topped the table after 3 consecutive wins, earning 9 points and a goal difference of +7. In the final match, U.22 Thailand will face U.22 Vietnam.

Striker Teerasak Poeiphimai said that U.22 Thailand played well, but needed to focus and win every match.

"I feel happy to score and the team won. I want to be the top scorer, but the most important thing is that the team gets 3 points. I will focus on the last match (against U.22 Vietnam). We don't want a draw," Teerasak emphasized.

Speaking to the press, Coach Sritaro confirmed that he will consider resting some key players. "I have to wait and see the result of the match between U.22 Vietnam and U.22 Malaysia today. We have 3 points and will rest some players in the final match," Coach Sritaro said.

Talking about the strength of U.22 Vietnam, Mr. Sritaro said: "I don't know if it will be difficult to meet this opponent, but every coach wants to win all matches. We will have to make an effort."

U.22 Thailand defeated U.22 Singapore (3-1), U.22 Malaysia (2-0) and U.22 Laos (4-1) all with overwhelming dominance. Against U.22 Laos, the team from the land of the golden pagodas easily led 3-0 in the first half, then kept their strength in the second half.

"I am satisfied that U.22 Thailand has achieved the set target of 9 points after 3 matches, with no injured players. After the first 3 matches, I am satisfied that the starting players played about 70% of the time, then the players who came off the bench also played well despite playing less. However, they still have to play better," coach Sritaro assessed.
