Former Da Nang Club member shares his thoughts

On February 8, on his personal page, coach Cristiano Roland said: "I would like to announce that I am no longer the head coach of Da Nang Club. Everything happened very quickly and very stressfully. In a short time, I had to make many changes to improve the overall operation of the entire system, thereby improving the quality of training for my players. These improvements have been recognized by those who have worked at the club, and they will certainly continue to do this to help the team overcome the current difficult situation. Unfortunately, changes take time."

"I know that I did the right thing and have never disrespected anyone, nor cheated or lied about anything. So for me, I leave peacefully, having done my best for the club and for the players. I would like to thank the members of the coaching staff, who have always been excellent. Let's move forward together, towards the next challenge," the former head coach of the Vietnam U.17 team expressed.

Coach Cristiano Roland was the head coach of the Vietnam U.17 team before coming to lead Da Nang Club.

Coach Roland was appointed to replace Mr. Dao Quang Hung before the start of the 2024 AFF Cup. The Brazilian coach had nearly 2 months with the Han River team to prepare for the National Cup and V-League. However, Mr. Roland could not improve the performance of the Hoa Xuan team. Under the leadership of the former U.17 Vietnam coach, Da Nang Club lost all 3 matches, including 1 defeat in the National Cup (0-1 against SLNA and was eliminated), before losing 2 more matches in the V-League (0-2 against Hanoi Club, 0-1 against Ho Chi Minh City Club).

After the Lunar New Year holiday, coach Roland was fired to make way for coach Le Duc Tuan (former coach of Hanoi Club).

At this time, although the 2024-2025 V-League season has reached the halfway mark, Da Nang Club has fallen into a situation of worrying about relegation. Currently, the Han River team has not won any matches, has only 4 points after 11 rounds and is at the bottom of the rankings.
