According to Topstar News, Korean female streamer Byun Ah Yeong (born in 1990) was over 33 years old. The initial cause of death was determined to be murder in Cambodia.

The news said that the body of Byun Ah Yeong was discovered by Cambodian police on June 6 in a ditch on the outskirts of Kandal province, wrapped in a towel. Through investigation, the authorities arrested a Chinese couple, one surnamed Lai (male, 30 years old), the other surnamed Thai (female, 39 years old).

The couple ran a medical clinic in Phnom Penh. Friends who traveled with the victim were also summoned for questioning. At the police station, the couple admitted to dumping Byun Ah Yeong’s body but denied killing the streamer.

Female streamer's body found in ditch

Specifically, the suspect stated that on June 4, Byun Ah Yeong went to their clinic to get an IV and serum injection, after which she had a seizure and died. After Byun Ah Yeong died, the couple used their own car to take the victim to a ditch in Kandal province to dispose of the body.

However, through the autopsy, the forensic report noted that the victim's neck was broken, and her face and body had bruises and burns. Authorities suspect that the victim was abused before her death. The case shocked public opinion in Cambodia and South Korea. On social media platforms, many people left condolences to the family of the unfortunate female streamer.
