Information about studying abroad, studying on-site, and international cooperation are the topics that students are interested in during the 2024 Exam Season Consulting program held on the afternoon of February 25 at Phan Chau Trinh High School, Da Nang City.
Students of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted participated in asking many questions related to study abroad programs at the program.
Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Principal of the University of Economics, University of Danang, said the advantage of the international joint program is that students can study with much lower tuition fees than studying abroad. Students also have many options, such as studying 100% in Vietnam or studying in Vietnam and spending time abroad.
A female student of Phan Chau Trinh High School is concerned that if she studies information technology (Japanese language) at the University of Technology (University of Danang), will her university degree be valid in 2029 - when she graduates? Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Ngoc Duong, Deputy Head of Training Department of the University of Technology (University of Danang), emphasized: "Students should be confident. The demand for personnel who are fluent in Japanese and have expertise in information technology is very high, with very stable salaries."
Responding to students' concerns about how to know if an on-site study abroad program is effective, Dr. Nguyen Duc Man, Vice Principal of the International Training School of Duy Tan University, said that students should carefully refer to information on the school's official website and reputable mass media.
Providing more information about the flexibility of the joint programs, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Truong, Director of the International Training Institute of the University of Finance and Marketing, said: "Currently, the school is collaborating with many universities abroad. For example, in case of visa rejection to this country, students still have diverse options with other schools in other countries in the joint program with the University of Finance and Marketing. The school also has 3-year programs in Vietnam (3+0 program). Instead of spending 1 year abroad, students will study in Vietnam the entire time, still get a foreign degree, and have wide-open job opportunities."
Students participated and asked many practical questions in the program.
A student majoring in history at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted asked about the on-site study abroad program of Duy Tan University in collaboration with Troy University. Dr. Nguyen Duc Man said that if students study this program, they will receive a degree from Troy University (USA). Students can study for 4 years at Duy Tan University (4+0 program), with tuition fees only 1/10 of those in the US. However, students can study for 2 years in Vietnam and then continue studying in the US, with tuition fees the same as in the US.
Responding to students' concerns about whether there will be many changes in studying abroad after Covid-19, Mr. Vo Phi Hung, Deputy Director of AUG Network Study Abroad Company, said: "Opportunities to study abroad in English-speaking countries and job opportunities are very open. If students have goals, they should try hard and be confident in their choices."
