Hanoi is experiencing a severe, prolonged heat wave, causing a sudden increase in electricity consumption. This poses many potential risks of incidents at certain times due to equipment operating in high temperature environments, overloaded power lines and transformer stations... EVNHANOI has increased its staff, on duty 24/7 to be ready to restore power problems as quickly as possible.
To avoid local overloads causing interruptions in power supply, EVNHANOI also recommends that people, agencies, offices, production and business establishments... join hands to use electricity economically and effectively, turn off unnecessary electrical equipment and limit the use of high-capacity equipment during peak hours of the power system, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day.
