Many young artists are nominated for "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces" in 2024

(To Quoc) - The "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces" Award 2024 has found 19 outstanding nominees to conduct online voting from now until March 6. After the online voting round, the Award Organizing Committee will meet to select 10 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces and Promising Young Vietnamese Faces of 2024.


On the morning of February 20, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund, and Tien Phong Newspaper held a press conference to announce the list of 19 outstanding nominees for the online voting round of the "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces" Award in 2024.

Last year, the Organizing Committee of the Award received 159 nominations from 55 units nationwide. Notably, among these, there were 3 self-nominated nominations. In terms of structure, there were 114 men, 45 women; 15 nominations were from ethnic minorities. In terms of academic titles, there were 3 associate professors, 21 doctors and 4 masters. The oldest nominee was 38 years old, the youngest was 13 years old. The field of Learning had the most nominations with 38 nominations. The field of State Administrative Management continued to have the fewest nominations with only 1 nomination.

On February 11, the Award Council held its first meeting and based on the records, appraisal, analysis and evaluation, found 26 outstanding nominees in 9 fields. From there, the Council continued to vote, selecting 19 nominees to conduct the online voting round.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Vietnam Student Association, Permanent Vice President of the Outstanding Young Faces Award Council shared at the press conference.

Taking place from now until March 6, 2025, the online voting round will contribute significantly to the basis for the Award Council to hold its second meeting to find 10 nominees for Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces of 2024, along with Promising Young Vietnamese Faces of 2024.

Representing the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces after being honored at the program, singer Ha MyO - Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face in the field of Culture and Arts in 2022, and doctor Do Doan Bach - Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face in the field of Labor and Production in 2021 shared about their maturity and dedication after being honored.

Singer Ha MyO said that she was very lucky when she first came into contact with the art of Xam singing in 2020, and in 2021 she received the Promising Young Vietnamese Face award, and in 2022 the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face award.

It can be said that this is the first award to recognize the combination of Xam singing with modern music to spread the art of Vietnamese Xam singing to a wider audience.

Singer Ha MyO - Outstanding young Vietnamese face in the field of Culture and Arts in 2022.
