The famous British newspaper Daily Mail UK devoted an article inviting readers to explore Hotel de la Coupole - a hotel in the misty town of Vietnam.
According to Daily Mail UK, "Versailles in the clouds" is the nickname given by the media to the Hotel de la Coupole. This name comes from the hotel's grand French-style design and location in Sapa, a town located at an altitude of 1,600m above sea level, at the foot of Vietnam's highest mountain and often covered in mist.
Hotel de la Coupole, owned by Sun Group, is part of the 'MGallery' collection of boutique hotels managed by Accor. Designed by world-renowned architect Bill Bensley, Hotel de la Coupole is a grandiose interpretation of Belle Époque architecture.
The Le Grand Bassin swimming pool is decorated with turquoise marble columns and statues of swimmers, with opulent chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The hotel's Absinthe bar is decorated with feathers, designer clothes and antique trunks. The French restaurant 'Chic' has a catwalk with 2D fashion models running down the middle of the restaurant.
The luxury of this five-star hotel, the UK's leading newspaper commented, "could satisfy even Marie Antoinette". However, visitors do not need to pay a luxury price to match the expensive aesthetic of the French queen, an 18th-century fashion icon, because rooms at Hotel de la Coupole only cost around 89 pounds or 112 USD per night.
Daily Mail UK reporters shared their experiences staying in the Superior room, decorated with classic French fashion paintings, and a large balcony overlooking Sapa town and the misty Hoang Lien Son mountain range. The luxurious bathroom in black and white tones further enhances the sophistication of the space.
The British writer was impressed with the 'Absinthe' bar and the 'Chic' restaurant, ideal for beautiful photos. In addition, the hotel also has Nuages and the 'Athleticum' gym, providing a classy experience.
According to the article, the breakfast at the hotel is not only beautiful but also full of typical Vietnamese dishes such as pho, banh mi and Sa Pa specialties such as corn cake, chestnut cake. Introducing more about Hotel de la Coupole, the British newspaper shared that the hotel has 249 rooms, including an area connected to the European-style Muong Hoa train station, taking visitors to the world's longest three-wire cable car system. From here, visitors can explore Fansipan peak - the highest mountain in Vietnam.
The hotel also organises trekking tours to explore the villages of Ma Tra, Ta Phin and the beautiful natural landscapes around Sapa.
