Inspired by the Dong Ho folk painting 'Carp Playing', designer Nguyen Minh Cong continues to create a collection called Folk Features.

Designer Nguyen Minh Cong said he chose the Dong Ho painting "Carp in a Group" as the idea with the wish to bring wishes for a prosperous and fulfilling new year.
The new designs in the Folklore collection attract attention because of the ideas inspired by the traditional culture of the nation.
Instead of choosing the bright colors of Tet, Nguyen Minh Cong chose elegant beige tones with silk chiffon as the main material for the collection.
The highlight of the design is the delicate 3D embellishments: images of carp and lotus flowers.
These details are meticulously attached, applying color matching techniques to create traditional beauty while expressing modern style.
Regarding shapes, designer Nguyen Minh Cong exploits a variety of traditional costume shapes such as: Nhat Binh shirt, ao dai, yem shirt combined with contemporary fashion such as vests and skirts.
The Folklore collection will suggest more outfits to wear during Tet this year.
Nguyen Minh Cong graduated as valedictorian in fashion design at Hong Bang International University.
He attracted attention as a coach for the national costume competition at beauty pageants.
Nguyen Minh Cong and his colleagues have many national costumes selected to compete in international beauty contests and won high prizes.
He has organized personal shows such as Dreamland, Muse's Garden ... as well as participated in performances at Vietnam International Fashion Week .
Nguyen Minh Cong made an impression with the collection Ve nha Ut oi, inspired by the design characteristics of the Mekong Delta such as ao ba ba, scarf, conical hat... or a dress made from familiar jams to serve guests on Tet holiday such as: coconut jam, kumquat jam, soft ginger jam, sweet banana jam...
