With a life of vibrant revolutionary activities, as well as experience and research on typical revolutions in the world and domestic revolutionary movements of predecessors, President Ho Chi Minh concluded that Vietnam's revolutionary path is socialist revolution.
According to VNA, speaking at the workshop held within the framework of the visit and working session of the high-ranking delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam in Brazil, led by comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, historian Pedro Olivera, General Secretary of the Brazil-Vietnam Friendship Association (ABRAVIET), emotionally recalled that in 1912, on his journey to find a way to save the country, young man Nguyen Tat Thanh arrived at the port of Rio de Janeiro and lived in this city for six months. At that time, Nguyen Tat Thanh worked in a restaurant in Lapa, near Santa Teresa. During this time, he first came into contact with the revolutionary spirit of Brazilian workers. It was President Ho Chi Minh who laid the foundation for the solidarity and friendship between the people of the two countries.
In her speech on the relationship between Brazil and Vietnam, Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Brazilian Communist Party, Ana Prestes, emphasized that in the 1960s, the Brazilian people carried out many activities to show their support and solidarity with the struggle for liberation and national unification of the Vietnamese people. Over the years, the relationship between the two countries has developed positively with a trustful political relationship, increased understanding and mutual cooperation. The two sides have maintained delegation exchanges and bilateral contacts, and increased trade exchanges. Brazil is Vietnam's main trade partner in Latin America and Vietnam is one of Brazil's major trade partners in Southeast Asia.
In his closing speech at the workshop, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed his gratitude for the solidarity, friendship and great support of the people of Latin American countries, especially the people of Brazil, in the resistance war against foreign invaders and the unification of the Vietnamese people, as well as in the cause of national construction and development. During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always considered the Vietnamese revolution to be part of the world revolution, closely linked to the revolutionary and progressive movements in the world for peace, national independence and social progress.
Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that creatively applying President Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic ideology, Vietnam continues to pursue a foreign policy of peace, friendship, cooperation and development, proactively and actively integrating into the world. The values in Ho Chi Minh's ideology and the path to socialism being realized in Vietnam will continue to spread and be a strong source of encouragement for countries on the path to building socialism.
On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament, British historian John Callow assessed President Ho Chi Minh's Testament as a historical document of profound practical and theoretical value not only for Vietnam but also for the world. According to the expert, the Testament is not dogmatic or mechanical, but is a guideline for political action and principles, has the nature of a political platform containing eternal values, and is a guide for action that can be creatively applied in all situations.
The British historian believes that President Ho Chi Minh's Testament goes deep into almost every field, summarizing all of President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, hopes and dreams, as well as his ideological, moral and stylistic foundations, summarizing the life of a humble, exemplary leader who always put the people in his heart.
Mr. John Callow emphasized that President Ho Chi Minh's Testament is a document of trust and confidence between leaders and people, truthfully recording his hopes, dreams and aspirations for future generations. With profound humanistic thoughts, the Testament brings to the Vietnamese people an optimistic spirit that the road ahead, no matter how difficult, the final destination will be an equal and fair society. The expert affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh's legacy contains strength and inspiration for the Vietnamese people, as well as progressive people around the world.
