According to the video posted by Federico, he was swimming leisurely before being pulled underwater by a strong force from a mysterious creature. The sea creature then latched onto his leg, forcing Federico to struggle to free himself.

He even brought his "new friend" to land and realised it was an octopus, after which Federico poured seawater on it to help keep it alive before it slid over his back in a hilarious "bonding" scene.

Finally, Federico detached the octopus and returned it to the ocean, ending a short but memorable encounter.

Federico called it "a magical surprise on New Year's Day" and humorously wrote: "I found my love. Actually, she found me."
