(Dan Tri) - Arsenal striker Kai Havertz bled and left the field after a strong collision with an opposing defender in the Gunners' 0-1 loss to Inter Milan in the early morning of November 7.

The German striker was named by coach Mikel Arteta in Arsenal's official squad for the away match at Meazza Stadium in the 4th round of the 2024-2025 UEFA Champions League group stage.

Havertz's lackluster performance led to the English representative's 0-1 defeat thanks to the only goal of the match by Hakan Calhanoglu from the penalty spot. The only notable point of the German striker was the collision in the final minutes of stoppage time with Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck.

In the situation of jumping to compete for the ball in the air, Havertz's head hit the head of defender Bisseck, causing both of them to be dizzy and fall to the ground. The referee then had to stop the match and bring in the medical team to provide first aid to the two players.

According to the image recorded by the camera, Havertz's head was bleeding profusely, causing the player to lie motionless on the field and it took him several minutes to get up and leave the field in pain.

Coach Mikel Arteta said: "Kai Havertz has a head injury but it is not too serious and he will return to play this weekend". If the German player cannot play, it will be a big loss for Arsenal because his contributions to the Emirates team are very important.

Havertz has scored 7 goals in 15 games for the Gunners in all competitions. He also plays the leading role in Arsenal's attack, is trusted by coach Arteta and is a regular in the London team's starting lineup.

Arsenal will travel to Chelsea on November 10. Arteta's team will be without Declan Rice due to an injury he suffered in the match against Newcastle on November 2.

Captain midfielder Martin Odegaard will return to play, this is good news for "Gunners" fans. The match between Arsenal and Chelsea in round 11 of the Premier League will take place at 11:30 p.m. on November 10 at Stamford Bridge (London, England).
