Science & Technology sector determined to successfully carry out tasks in 2025

Entering 2025, the Science and Technology sector of Son La province has clearly identified important goals to promote innovation, improve productivity and product quality, and make practical contributions to the local socio-economic development.

One of the key and urgent tasks identified for the Son La Science and Technology sector in 2025 is to focus on effectively implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation. To do this, it is necessary to focus on investing in scientific research, technology development and supporting businesses in improving local innovation capacity.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee : We must urgently develop a plan to implement the direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat, which is Resolution 57, a resolution that is considered as Contract 10. On that basis, we must develop a plan for the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to lead the implementation of Resolution 57 and Program No. 03 of the government. This is the core, a breakthrough in science, technology and digital transformation.

In 2024, the Science and Technology sector of Son La province has achieved many important achievements. The whole province has deployed the management and implementation of 40 S&T tasks; including 37 provincial-level S&T tasks, 02 projects under the Rural and Mountainous Areas Program, 01 urgent local topic at the national level. The Department of Science and Technology of Son La coordinated with the Intellectual Property Office to announce the granting of certificates to 5 products including: Son La Dragon Fruit; Son La Macadamia and Son La Pineapple; Hang Chu Wine and Ta Xua Bac Yen Tea, Son La Province. Bringing the total number of products granted protection certificates in the whole province to 32 products.

Mr. Lu A Chau, Director of A Chau Agricultural Cooperative, Ta Xua Commune, Bac Yen, Son La : In the coming time, we will also try to preserve the identity and craftsmanship of our ancestors, so that tea brands with their tea flavors will retain their completely handmade qualities.

Promoting the achieved results, the Son La Department of Science and Technology will continue to comprehensively innovate the state management of research, transfer and application of science and technology; at the same time, closely coordinate with all levels, sectors, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities in implementing science and technology activities in the area; focus on research, bringing scientific and technological advances associated with the strengths and available potentials of the province.

Mr. Luu Binh Khiem, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Son La province : We will coordinate with all levels of the sector to implement the plan to link science, technology, innovation, digital transformation and communication, always implementing Resolution 57 of the Central Committee. After merging and perfecting, we will advise the province to issue relevant legal documents on state management of technical and economic norms for implementation in the area. Continue to orient the selection and handover of research results in the area in association with the planning of the province, Ocop products, and new rural programs in the area.

With determination and clear strategy, Son La Science & Technology sector is gradually realizing the goals set for 2025, promising to bring remarkable achievements, bringing Son La province to develop green, fast and sustainable in the spirit of the 15th Provincial Party Congress./ .
