The Zapad Group of Forces announced on July 21 that its Su-34 fighters carried out airstrikes on a gathering of the 36th Separate Rifle Battalion of the Ukrainian forces near Kolodyazi in the direction of Kupyansk.
The group's artillery also hampered attempts to turn around units of the 32nd Separate Mechanized Brigade near Novoselovskoe.
In addition, artillery shelled the positions of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade and territorial defense units near Rozovka, Stelmahovka, Sandy and Kotlyarovka.
Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to an infantry platoon, an American-made M113 armored vehicle and an ammunition depot.
In the Dvurechensky direction, the Group's units captured five strong points and four observation posts near Masyutovka and Sinkovka. Kiev forces lost more than a platoon of infantry, a Polish-made Krab self-propelled gun and a US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar. Heavy fire from Russian forces also destroyed a Gvozdika self-propelled gun.
A Buk air defense system of the Group also shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 over Kutkovka and a Leleka 100 reconnaissance drone over Liman. The Tor-M2U air defense system also shot down an A1-CM Furia reconnaissance drone over Veliky Vyselok.
Russia stepped up offensive operations in many directions.
Meanwhile, Russia's Yug Group of Forces said it had repelled seven attacks by Kiev forces in the Lisichansk, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions. The group also destroyed two armored fighting vehicles near Kurdyumovka and Kleshchievka.
In addition, the group's Tornado-S heavy rocket artillery systems attacked and destroyed the fuel depot of the 77th Separate Airborne Brigade near Druzhkovka.
The Group's artillery also struck Ukrainian targets near Vyemka and Seversk, an armored vehicle near Krasnoye, a Polish-made Krab system, a US-made M019 self-propelled gun, a 120 mm mortar near Pervomaisky and two Msta-B towed guns near Ostrogo and Far, in the Maryinsky direction.
The group's air defense forces also shot down four drones in the direction of Lisichansk and Soledaro-Artemovsk. The TOS-1 air defense system was also used by the Group to attack the Ukrainian manpower and equipment assembly location near Maloylinovka.
The newly released videos show that the Lancet drone attacks targeted five pieces of Kiev's equipment, including two main battle tanks, two howitzers and an infantry fighting vehicle.
The Ukrainian counter-offensive began more than six weeks ago. However, despite heavy losses in human and material resources, Kiev forces have yet to make any significant gains on the ground.
