With the implementation of synchronous, unified, diversified, extensive, focused, key tourism development, creating highlights and spreading power, the province's tourism industry has achieved many positive results in recent times. Ha Giang has positioned its value on the world tourism map when it continuously received the brands "Ha Giang - Asia's leading emerging tourism destination" and "Ha Giang - Asia's leading regional cultural destination". The attractiveness of the landscape and uniqueness of the cultural identity have attracted a large number of tourists to explore and experience. In the first 3 months of 2025 alone, with vibrant tourism activities, there were over 848,000 visitors to the province; of which, over 107,000 were international visitors, over 740,000 were domestic visitors; total tourism spending in the area is estimated at over 2,280 billion VND.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Trung Ngoc shared: In order to attract tourists and promote the growth of the tourism industry, localities have successfully organized many unique festivals of ethnic minorities, attracting a large number of people and tourists such as the Long Tong festival in Quang Binh, Bac Quang, Vi Xuyen districts; Peach and Le flower festivals in Dong Van district; the art program and fashion show Hy sac Lac Hong; welcoming the first visitors to Ha Giang in 2025; organizing a thematic conference on tourism development and meeting with tourism businesses and tourism media units in 2025. In particular, the province established the Project "Positioning and developing the tourism brand of Ha Giang province"; surveying and building specific tourism products in Dong Van and Bac Me districts. Strengthening the management of activities at tourism areas, points, tourism businesses and tourism services in the area.

2025 is the "sprint" year to implement the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, the tourism industry is determined to successfully make a breakthrough in tourism development and Resolution No. 11, dated August 2, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on tourism development for the period 2021 - 2025. Efforts to position and develop the Ha Giang tourism brand as a safe, attractive and unique destination; strive to reach 3.5 million visitors by the end of 2025. To realize the set goals, the province has developed a tourism development plan, identified specific content and assignments with the aim of strengthening propaganda about the role of tourism in socio-economic development, environmental protection and cultural heritage conservation, in order to raise awareness and responsibility of the community, businesses and state agencies. Innovate and improve the quality of tourism promotion activities of the province to the world, enhance the value of the province's tourism brand through communication campaigns and international events.

On the other hand, improving the effectiveness of state management of tourism; strengthening the management of tourism resources, ensuring sustainable development, protecting the environment and cultural heritage; improving management and operation capacity, digital transformation in the tourism industry; developing unique and highly competitive tourism products; building synchronous tourism infrastructure, improving transport infrastructure, tourism facilities, creating favorable conditions for tourists and developing key tourism areas and points.

In Meo Vac district, Chairman of Meo Vac district People's Committee Nguyen Huy Sac said: The district focuses on implementing well the state management of tourism; increasing investment to complete and recognize typical cultural tourism villages and tourist spots. Strengthening the dissemination of the implementation of the province's tourism development policies and guidelines, deploying the province's code of conduct for civilized tourism to the community and tourists in many forms. Developing typical products, OCOP products, souvenirs; organizing festivals and events in the area to ensure compliance with regulations, savings and efficiency, associated with the good implementation of preserving and promoting national culture, protecting nature and the environment, ensuring traffic safety, security and order, and social safety. Paying attention to allocating funds to invest in electricity, water and traffic infrastructure connecting to tourist spots, essential infrastructure such as rest stops, parking lots, and sanitation facilities serving tourism. In particular, the district is making efforts to prepare to organize the Khau Vai Phong Luu Market Festival with the desire to bring visitors an impressive experience.

In an effort to enhance the tourism brand, the province focuses on promoting organizations, individuals operating in tourism and tourists to comply with the provisions of the law; protect the environment, natural landscapes, tourism resources, maintain security and order; respect local culture and customs; actively participate in community activities, communication, promotion and introduction of Ha Giang tourism image, minimizing negative impacts. Comprehensively review, research and assess the need for additional tourism human resources from management level to service establishments, direct and indirect workers to have appropriate and systematic tourism vocational training support policies. Develop and improve the quality of tourism products; improve the quality and develop festivals, focusing on a number of traditional, unique and attractive festivals. Effectively manage tourism business activities associated with specialized inspection and examination, determined to maintain the province's tourism brand. Developing a smart tourism ecosystem, supporting effective connections between state management agencies, organizations and individuals operating in tourism, meeting the increasing needs of tourists in the digital age.
