On the evening of April 6, the premiere event of the movie " The Keeper of Time" by singer My Tam took place in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting many artists, celebrities and audiences.
This is a documentary recording the process of My Tam and her crew preparing for the two Tri Am shows in Ho Chi Minh City (April 2021) and Hanoi (November 2022). The film also brings My Tam's feelings about her career journey and her appreciation and gratitude for the love that fans have given her for 20 years.

Depression, had to take sleeping pills when Tri Am in Hanoi was canceled
My Tam believes that "the audience is family, the stage is home". Only when standing on stage can she be herself. However, in her journey to conquer the "stage sanctuary", the female singer has experienced many difficulties and challenges.
The Tri Am concert in Ho Chi Minh City was postponed for a month, and had to be relocated, causing a lot of hard work for the organizing team. After "breathing a sigh of relief" because Tri Am in Ho Chi Minh City was successfully held at Phu Tho Stadium, in early May 2021, the live show in Hanoi was forced to cancel due to concerns about the Covid-19 epidemic. This was a big shock for My Tam, causing her to fall into a period of depression.
My Tam shared some remarkable things at the premiere of "Time Keeper" (Video: Bich Phuong).
"I was depressed when the Tri Am show in Hanoi was canceled. At that time, the stage was 70% prepared but still had to be removed. The tickets were also returned to the audience. I cried and was very sad. In that situation, I had to cancel the concert because I could not guarantee the safety of the audience. The fans happily received their tickets back but I felt guilty, feeling that I once again owed them my gratitude. After that, I had insomnia and had to take medicine to sleep," My Tam confided in Nguoi mot thoi gian.
In the midst of seemingly collapsing, My Tam gradually learned to balance and spread positive energy. She sought out nature, made friends with her home garden, learned to embroider, practiced dancing... She both encouraged herself and inspired the team to overcome difficulties and fatigue.
Love does not necessarily mean marriage
In Nguoi mot thoi gian, My Tam also rarely shares about love affairs. The 8X singer said that when she first met someone, she thought about the future of her and that person living "growing vegetables and raising fish" in a faraway, peaceful place. My Tam believes that "love does not necessarily mean getting married, two people just live together". However, this relationship has now stopped.
The female singer confided: "I am also a normal person when in love. Love is wanting everything. But when we broke up, I realized that I could not have everything. I realized I was wrong."
My Tam further confided that she is not a perfect person. "I also have moments of jealousy, ambition, and selfishness. But when I stand in front of the audience, I find where I belong, I see who I am and regain my sanity," the singer of "Forget Me" confided in the film.

During the interaction with the audience and media at the launch event of Nguoi mot thoi gian , My Tam said that the filming and post-production crew had a hard time and "headaches" when processing more than 80,000 videos filmed over 3 years, from the time they started coming up with the idea for Tri am until completing the show in Hanoi.
"I apologize if there is anything wrong in the movie. If there is any mistake, I hope the audience will forgive me. It is all my fault. I am wrong, not the crew's fault," My Tam shared.
Regarding the name of the film, My Tam said she hopes that when listening to her singing, the audience will be taken back in time to 10, 20 years ago, remembering the moments of youth, the meaningful periods of life. There are many things in life that cannot be retrieved, but through music, My Tam wants to be the one to keep the priceless moments of time.
In addition, My Tam also shared that she and her crew carefully selected the images that could be included in the documentary because they did not want to "cause discomfort to the audience". Although the film lacked some materials that the singer "could not arrange", she believed that Timekeeper brought back stories that were attractive to the audience.
"Maybe this film lacks something. Sometimes I also feel pain and collapse, but there is no camera to record that moment. But I am still lucky to convey the story correctly. Everything that happens is God's arrangement," My Tam shared.
My Tam was born in 1981 in Da Nang. She started her singing career in the early 2000s and became a leading name in the Vietnamese music industry. During her career, My Tam has won many domestic and international awards and has many hits that have been associated with generations of audiences.
At the age of 42, the "brown-haired nightingale" still maintains her position as an A-list star, loved by a large audience for many years. My Tam's most recent hit is Promise from Nothingness, released in March 2022.
