As a law graduate with a good degree, Phung Ba The (born in 2000, residing in Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh) had many options for the future, but he volunteered to join the army, considering it both a sacred duty to the Fatherland and an opportunity to improve himself.
Today (February 13), Phung Ba The officially enlisted in the army, beginning his training journey in the military environment.
It is known that The is one of 255 young people who have graduated from college and university and have volunteered to join the army in 2025 in Nam Dinh province.
Identify the military as a comprehensive university
Born into a family where both his grandfather and father were soldiers their whole lives, Phung Ba The seriously considered joining the army after graduating from university.
After graduating, he had a stable job at a notary office, but in his heart he always nurtured the dream of being trained and challenged in a military environment.
“I am very proud of my family tradition. After graduating from university, I intended to join the army to train and contribute.
I perceive and identify the army as a comprehensive university, a place that not only trains personality and character but also provides comprehensive education, helping me to mature.
When I expressed my wish, my parents fully supported me," The confided.
Mr. Phung Ba Son (The's father) shared: "I always tell my son that joining the army is hard work, if you decide to join, you must be determined from the beginning. In the military environment, you must determine that discipline is strength. Once you join the army, you must strictly follow instructions and orders."
Inspired by his father, The became even more determined with his choice. Since 1 year ago, he has been actively training to ensure his health, meet the recruitment standards and be ready to adapt to the military environment. From a 57kg guy, he has persistently trained to gain weight to 65kg, with firmer muscles and significantly improved physical strength.
Before the day of military recruitment, The excitedly asked his father: "With my health condition, am I qualified to join the army?". His father just smiled and replied: "100%!".
In addition to physical training, The was also guided by his father to learn carefully about the regime and regulations in the army so that he would not be surprised when entering the new environment. The advice of his father, a retired senior officer, helped him better understand military discipline, responsibility and the challenges ahead.
“Realizing the strict requirements of the military, I determined to train seriously from the beginning. If the organization trusts me, I wish to serve long-term to continue the family tradition,” The expressed.
Before leaving, The's mother encouraged her son with warm advice, preparing each set of clothes and necessary items with the hope that he would have enough luggage to walk steadily.
Meanwhile, The's father advised: "You are the pride of the family, please preserve and promote the traditions of your ancestors, and excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and army.
In the immediate future, you need to complete the new soldier training course well, strictly follow discipline, and unite with your teammates to build an increasingly strong army."
Phung Ba The has officially donned the soldier's uniform, entering a new journey with determination and enthusiasm. With careful preparation both physically and mentally, he is confident that he will complete his mission well, worthy of his family's tradition and the trust of his loved ones.
