On both sides of the road, tile-roofed houses have sprung up close together, more spacious and modern. In particular, the joy doubled when My Khanh was honored to achieve the standard of a new model rural area in tourism.

In the rice fields, new plows and harvesters are working hard on the fields, replacing the calloused hands and sickles of the past. Applying science and technology to agricultural production has brought about higher productivity and better quality. The deepest impression on me is the change in the lives of the people of My Khanh. Many effective economic models have been implemented, from growing specialty fruit trees to developing community ecotourism. Mango orchards full of fruit, mulberry orchards combined with ecotourism, farms combined with tourism... bring stable income, helping people improve their quality of life.

My Khanh commune develops every day

Especially the change in the way of thinking and doing of the people. They no longer accept poverty and backwardness, but have boldly innovated, learned good and new things to develop the economy. The spirit of solidarity and mutual support is increasingly strengthened, creating an inner strength to help My Khanh overcome all difficulties. Mr. Nguyen Van Day (a farmer living in Binh Hoa 2 hamlet) shared: “In the past, the whole family only relied on a few fields, lacking all year round. Since the commune changed the structure of crops and livestock, and then did tourism, the people's lives have become more prosperous. Children have the conditions to study properly, and houses are built more spaciously”.

Today's foundation, steady steps for the future

Chairman of My Khanh Commune People's Committee Ho Van Lanh said: “In recent years, My Khanh Commune has achieved positive and remarkable results in the fields of socio-economy, national defense and security, successfully completing the set goals. In the first quarter of 2025, the average income per capita reached 81.68 million VND/person (reaching 97.82% of the plan). Poverty reduction work achieved outstanding results, with the poverty rate decreasing by 0.28%, equivalent to 140% compared to the 2025 plan. The rate of people participating in health insurance reached 96.26%, exceeding the set target by 0.2%.

“The Party Committee of My Khanh commune has done a good job in Party building in many aspects. In particular, it has focused on mass mobilization and strengthening the close relationship between the Party and the people. Thereby, it has aroused the strength of the great national unity bloc in carrying out the tasks of socio-economic development, national defense and security” - Secretary of the Party Committee of My Khanh commune, Nguyen Van Manh, informed.

Not only economic development, My Khanh today also focuses on preserving and promoting traditional historical and cultural values. Revolutionary historical relics are restored and embellished, becoming "red addresses" for traditional education. Schools are built spaciously, with modern teaching equipment, creating good conditions for children to study fully. Cultural centers and community activity houses are invested in and built, becoming places for cultural and artistic exchange, physical education and sports activities, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people.

Today, My Khanh has truly “changed its skin and flesh”, rising strongly on the path of development. The achievements are vivid evidence of the unceasing efforts of the Party Committee, local authorities and the consensus and joint efforts of all the people.
