At the forum, middle school students in the district frankly raised many questions and shared their concerns about current issues in school life and society, such as: School violence; the use of bad language in student communication; the need to be equipped with knowledge about sex education; the use of electronic cigarettes; the level of safety when participating in the Internet and social network environment, how to protect yourself from bad and toxic information; health insurance premiums for students; children with digital transformation; students' skills in traffic participation...
Advisory board answers students' questions
In response to the issues raised by students, the advisory board members, including leaders and representatives of departments, agencies and branches of the province and An Phu district, listened and answered questions, gave practical advice, shared experiences; oriented how to solve problems, contributing to helping students have more luggage to be more confident in studying, playing, training and forming personality in a safe, healthy and loving living environment.
Speaking at the forum, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of An Giang Province, Do Minh Sang, said: “The forum “Listening to children speak” is a model of a democratic space for children to boldly express their thoughts and aspirations, contributing to helping all levels and sectors grasp the reality from the children themselves, the future owners of the country. From there, appropriate orientations and solutions are proposed in the work of caring for, educating and protecting children. The open interaction between students and representatives of all levels and sectors at the forum is a clear demonstration of the spirit of “listening, understanding and accompanying children” that the program aims for.”
