Before that, Than drove his motorbike past the billiards shop at 297 Dien Bien Phu Street, Truong An Ward (Hue City). There, Than discovered many motorbikes parked on the sidewalk with no one watching. Among them, Than noticed an AirBlade with license plate 75F1-290.09 with the key in the vehicle.
To commit the crime, Than hid his motorbike, then secretly stole this AirBlade and drove to 7 Le Loi Street (Hue City) to hide it. Without stopping, Than continued to take a motorbike taxi back to the billiards shop to steal another AirBlade with license plate 75H1-037.32, drove to the Dao Tan - Dien Bien Phu intersection to hide it.
At noon on May 24, 2023, Than came to take the car 75F1-290.09 to sell, but was discovered and arrested by the reconnaissance force of the Criminal Police Team of Hue City Police.
Through this incident, Hue City Police advise people to prevent this type of crime by parking their vehicles in well-lit areas with many people passing by. The vehicle must be locked carefully or must be guarded by someone.
