The event marks the cooperation between the Italian Embassy, the Italian Trade Office and MM Mega Market to bring to the Vietnamese public premium culinary products and ingredients imported from Italy.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Marco della Seta affirmed: "We have decided to organize this special event week every year to promote Italian culture and cuisine to the public in Vietnam. We believe that cuisine can tell the story of a culture's heritage."

Most Italian dishes are Mediterranean in character, so the preparation is quite simple, focusing on natural ingredients such as tomatoes, olives, green vegetables and grains. This makes the cuisine of the "boot-shaped country" one of the healthiest in the world.

Each dish is prepared in a minimalist way and usually contains no more than 10 ingredients, common ingredients include tomatoes, olive oil, herbs, or wine. However, to create authentic Italian dishes, the most important thing is that the ingredients must be of authentic Italian origin.

According to Mr. Fabio De Cillis, Chief Representative of the Italian Trade Office, Trade Promotion Department of the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City, Italian cuisine is a cuisine of "slow food" so Italians always value health in every aspect of a meal.

"We want to spread health to the public within the framework of the 8th Italian Cuisine Week in Vietnam. Through the cooperation between the Italian Trade Office and distribution partners such as MM Mega Market, Vietnamese people will have easy access to quality products imported from Italy," Mr. Fabio De Cillis emphasized.

Mr. Fabio De Cillis said that this year also marks the second year that the Italian Trade Office in Vietnam has organized this event with Mega Market within the framework of the Italian Cuisine Week taking place worldwide.

This event also featured the participation of chef Cam Thien Long, when he directly performed the process of preparing Italian dishes to the excitement of the audience. Many typical Italian dishes such as Panna Cotta, Spaghetti, or Parma Ham were also prepared so that participants could enjoy the "Taste of Italy" in the most intuitive way.

In order to spread healthy Italian dishes to Vietnamese consumers, a series of imported products from Italy have been introduced and displayed at the MM Mega Market system, helping consumers to easily access them.
