According to the report of the EVN working group, in Ninh Thuan province, the total capacity of power sources is 3,290MW, including: 38.5MW of hydropower (04 factories), 622MW of wind power (12 factories), 2,309MW of solar power (35 factories) and 320MW of rooftop solar power. Of which, 05 wind and solar power projects with a total capacity of 460MW are put into operation under the transitional electricity price mechanism.
Regarding the distribution grid, there are 05 110kV transformer stations (TSS) with a total capacity of 331MVA, the average load level of 110kV lines (DD) in the province is 60-80%.

Ninh Thuan province's commercial electricity output grew at an average of 7.85% per year in the 2016-2020 period and 9.6% per year in the 2021-2023 period. In 2023, commercial electricity reached 0.88 billion kWh, an increase of 10.79% compared to 2022. In the first 4 months of 2024, the province's total commercial electricity output reached 293.954 million kWh, an increase of 18.26% over the same period in 2023, of which the Management and residential consumption component accounted for 43.59% and increased by 18.71% over the same period in 2023.
110kV power grid construction investment projects in the province have been and are being implemented according to the Plan to supply electricity to the load as well as improve capacity and create 110kV power grid loops to serve the connection of power sources in the province. The completed projects in the 2016-2023 period are 04 110kV power line projects and 07 110kV substation projects with a total scale of 8.0 km of lines with 151 MVA. The projects being implemented in the 2024-2025 period are 06 projects with 40 MVA transformers and ~95km of 110kV lines.
The 22kV medium voltage grid projects completed in the 2016-2023 period are 124 projects with a total scale of 460 km of additional lines and 53.3 MVA, with a total investment of 613,678 billion VND. The projects being implemented in the 2024-2025 period are 19 categories with a total scale of 36 km of additional lines and 6.3 MVA, with a total investment of 295 billion VND.
Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh, Deputy General Director of EVN spoke at the working session with leaders of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh, Deputy General Director of EVN, proposed: Ninh Thuan province continues to create conditions and support EVN and its member units in the investment and construction of power projects according to the planning, the work of ensuring power supply, site clearance, investment and construction of power source and grid projects that are still facing difficulties and obstacles; support the electricity industry in propagating and mobilizing people, businesses and public agencies to use electricity economically and effectively according to the direction of the Prime Minister in Directive No. 20/CT-TTg dated June 8, 2023, contributing to ensuring electricity supply during the peak hot months of 2024.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, thanked EVN and its affiliated units for ensuring electricity supply and making efforts to speed up the progress of power transmission projects to release the capacity of renewable energy sources in the province, thereby helping the province increase budget revenue. The projects invested by the Electricity sector in Ninh Thuan are of great significance to the socio-economic development of the region and the locality. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant departments and localities to actively coordinate to speed up the progress of the projects, and at the same time hoped that EVN and its units would continue to pay attention and allocate funds to invest in the power grid system to meet the production, business and daily life needs of the people.
