In case you lose your health insurance card and do not remember your social insurance number (printed on the health insurance card), you can look up information about your health insurance card in many ways:
Check the list of health insurance card holders kept at the unit;
Call the Vietnam Social Security Customer Support Center via hotline 19009068;
Look up your social insurance code on the Vietnam Social Insurance Portal (at http://www.baohiemxahoi.gov.vn), provided you have complete information including: Full name; date of birth; address where household information is declared (commune, district, province) and ID card number, Citizen ID card number.
People can use their health insurance photo on the VssID application for medical examination and treatment.
In addition, you can also directly contact the social insurance agency (SI) where the card was issued to carry out procedures to reissue a new health insurance card, or contact the Commune Cultural Post Office, Commune People's Committee, unit, collection agent where you participate in social insurance, health insurance, health insurance examination and treatment facility to get support to find the health insurance card code, as well as answer other questions.
Currently, health insurance data is being updated on the chip-embedded Citizen Identification Card. You can use the chip-embedded Citizen Identification Card when going to the doctor if it has been integrated.
