Through camera traps, Ha Tinh provincial authorities have discovered many endangered forest animals and rare wildlife in Ke Go Nature Reserve (a forest area of ​​nearly 45,000 hectares, spanning 3 southern districts of Ha Tinh: Cam Xuyen, Ky Anh, Huong Khe, and part of the border with Tuyen Hoa district.


On December 12, 2024, the Management Board of Ke Go Nature Reserve (Ha Tinh province) said that after the process of coordinating with the authorities to install 88 camera traps to monitor biodiversity in the Ke Go Nature Reserve area, 19 species of mammals, 13 species of birds and 1 species of reptiles have been recorded.

Accordingly, there are 19 recorded species of animals including: striped rabbit, peach-cheeked squirrel, monkey, bamboo rat, black squirrel, palm civet, crab-civet, wild cat, mouse-shaped mouse, palm civet, hill, red-bellied squirrel, mouse, golden monkey, deer, northern silver-cheeked ferret, palm civet, wild boar, yellow-throated ferret.

13 recorded bird species include: bar-backed partridge, bar-bellied pitta, Burmese buzzard, mahogany-breasted partridge, dove, banded laughingthrush, jungle fowl, jungle fowl, grey-headed pitta, purple-sided pheasant, white pheasant, white-headed laughingthrush, and red-rumped shama.
