Leading flag of the emulation movement "For national security"

(GLO)- With the slogan "Don't say difficult, don't say no and don't say impossible", An Khe Town Police (Gia Lai Province) has promoted its core role as a frontline shock force in ensuring security and order in the area. In 2022, the Town Police was honored to receive the flag from the Government as the leading unit in the emulation movement "For National Security".

Responding to the emulation movement "For National Security" launched by the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Police, in recent years, the Party Committee and leaders of An Khe Town Police have launched a movement throughout the force associated with the task of protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety in the locality.

Thereby, 100% of the collectives and individuals in the unit have registered to carry out the movement with specific targets and actions. Each officer and soldier has upheld the sense of responsibility, is ready to receive and complete the assigned tasks well, contributing to the successful implementation of the unit's political tasks.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Huy - Head of An Khe Town Police - said: In recent years, the emulation movement "For National Security" of the Town Police has been taking place vigorously in conjunction with key tasks assigned by the Provincial Police. In addition, the unit has done a good job of advising the Town Party Committee and the Town People's Committee to direct departments, branches and organizations to closely coordinate with the Police force to effectively implement many measures to ensure political security and social order and safety.

The town police have proactively grasped the situation, tightly managed the area and subjects, promptly detected and advised on effective resolution of related cases, preventing sudden, unexpected incidents and the formation of "hot spots"; proactively prevented and fought against all types of crimes, preventing gang-like crimes and complex crimes that upset public opinion.

Therefore, the results of crime prevention and control work of the Town Police always meet and exceed the targets assigned by the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Police, creating positive changes in social order and safety. With these achievements, in 2022, the Town Police was honored to receive the flag of the leading unit in the emulation movement "For National Security" from the Government.

Specifically, in 2022, the Town Police reduced the number of social order crimes by 7.14% compared to 2021. The rate of investigation and solving cases reached 95.65%, very serious cases reached 100%; questioned, deterred, and educated over 1,361 subjects of all kinds; arrested, persuaded to surrender, and cleared 3 wanted subjects; received 99 denunciations and reports of crimes and recommended prosecution, and resolved 90 reports, reaching a rate of 90.9%.

In the first 6 months of 2023 alone, the Town Police focused their forces on investigating and successfully solving 23/23 criminal cases; arrested and handled 11 gambling cases; persuaded 1 wanted person to surrender; prosecuted 7 cases/14 defendants for storing, trading, and organizing illegal use of drugs; organized a strong crackdown on crimes and violations of environmental laws, thereby discovering 6 cases, transferring 2 cases to competent authorities for handling, and sanctioning 4 administrative violations. The Town Police also discovered 9 cases/11 subjects, of which 5 cases/7 defendants were prosecuted for usury in civil transactions.

In order for the movement of the entire people to protect national security to spread more widely and contribute to stabilizing security and order in the area, the Town Police have guided the Steering Committee for crime prevention and control, social evils and building the movement of the entire people to protect national security at the commune level to continue to consolidate and improve the effectiveness of mass organization models for crime prevention and control, and security and order protection at the grassroots level.

Some effective models have been replicated such as: "Self-managed inter-family groups", "Self-managed boarding houses", "Typical communes in the movement of the whole people protecting national security", "Security cameras", "Fire prevention and fighting inter-family groups", "2 good, 3 no", "5th day at the base", "Religions join hands to maintain security and order", "Zalo connection, peaceful residential areas", "Building the style of police officers serving the people"...

Along with that, the Town Police have focused all their forces on cleaning citizen information data on the National Population Database system, implementing online public services on the Public Service Portal and Project 06 of the Prime Minister, basically meeting the requirements and assigned targets; proactively organizing and effectively implementing the "Digital Transformation Festival". As of May 14, 2023, the Town Police is the first unit in the province to complete 100% of the target of issuing citizen identification cards to eligible citizens in the area.

The Chief of An Khe Town Police added: In the coming time, the unit will focus on building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite force, closely attached to the people, "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people". Along with that, the unit will proactively grasp, analyze, evaluate, and accurately and closely forecast the developments of the situation; advise the Party Committee and the government on policies and solutions to ensure security and order, effectively handle complex issues that arise, and avoid being passive or surprised in any situation. Focus on attacking and suppressing crimes by topic, crimes that arise in each field and each locality.

At the same time, apply and exploit the maximum efficiency of the National Population Database system, the system of producing, issuing and managing citizen identification cards to serve the work of ensuring security and order. Promote working measures according to Plan No. 979 of the Director on ensuring traffic order and safety associated with crime prevention and control at the grassroots level.
