Cai luong artist Kim Tieu Long makes a musical film "Divorce", recalling the pain of a broken marriage in the past.
The 50-year-old singer said that while recording and filming the video, he cried many times because he felt sorry for the main character in the song - a child who suffered separation after his parents broke up. The song made him sympathize and remember his own situation. More than 10 years ago, he broke up with his lover after seven years of relationship, and his son has been living with his mother ever since.
"I dedicate this song to myself, about the difficult days in both career and love. I want to send a message to young people: Before deciding to divorce, think carefully, put your ego aside and think about your children," he said at the MV launch event on the afternoon of April 14 in Ho Chi Minh City.

After his second marriage, Kim Tieu Long now lives a quiet life with his wife and children in the US. For the past two years, he has been traveling between the US and Vietnam frequently because he receives invitations from domestic show producers every week. His wife and son - Kim Dai Phuoc, nine years old - are a great source of encouragement, helping him relieve pressure. Although her job is not related to art, she is good at managing finances, helping him solve many problems at work.
The film Divorce is over 15 minutes long, about a poor couple who used to live happily with their old mother and young children. Due to material temptations, they gradually quarreled and divorced, each going their separate ways, leaving their child - Long (Tin Tin) - to be raised by his grandmother (Phuong Loan). Growing up and having a successful career, Long (Kim Tieu Long) decided not to forgive his parents, treating them like strangers.
Having performed together on the cai luong stage, Kim Tieu Long and Phuong Loan acted together in a music video for the first time. When reading the script, he immediately suggested that the director invite Phuong Loan because he liked her acting and singing voice. In the music video, the artist contributed her voice with many lullabies in scenes where she struggled to raise her grandchild alone. Kim Tieu Long also invited Tin Tin - a former child talent on a game show - because he thought the boy had the ability to act out tragedy well. In real life, Tin Tin's situation is similar to the character's; his parents divorced when the child actor was only two years old.

Kim Tieu Long also sang and acted in films such as Nguoi hat trou, Hau hoa hau, Tieng piano trong mua, Huong nghiep .
