Meritorious Artist Kim Tiểu Long - Five years old but not afraid of bad luck
I met Meritorious Artist Kim Tiểu Long in Thủ Đức City. He said that this year he will celebrate Tet in Ho Chi Minh City, before touring in several provinces and cities, and then on the 6th day of Tet he will hold a special performance to give gifts to farmers in Vĩnh Long .
Regarding his plans for the coming year, he smiled charmingly: "I know that the coming year might bring a lot of bad luck, so I'll have to be careful in everything. But I will definitely always provide good support for young actors. The 'Tran Huu Trang Cai Luong Stage Actor Talent Competition' will be held for the third time in Ho Chi Minh City this year, so I might be able to assist in the acting or help with the staging to help the young contestants showcase their talents."
"Spring is a time of good fortune, and I hope that 2024 will bring many opportunities to perform for Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) audiences in various provinces and cities. This is completely the opposite of me, because I'm an artist, specializing in traditional Vietnamese opera, so I need to wear makeup. I have to focus my mind on looking beautiful for my roles. I always treat my friends and colleagues with closeness, without keeping my distance. As for my family, I always want to bring joy to my home, so when I come home I always help my wife with household chores. I enjoy spending time cooking for my children. My whole family is always as happy as during Tet (Vietnamese New Year)."
In 2024, Meritorious Artist Chi Linh will invest in staging new plays for the theater named after him and his wife. Notably, he will step back from supporting roles to give younger generations of actors a chance to shine.
"At this age, we must soar higher, be more creative, and work together with our fellow artists to perform our assigned roles well so that the artistic quality of our performances will continue to improve," said Meritorious Artist Chi Linh.
