On April 1, the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee said it is coordinating with investors and relevant sectors to direct and speed up the completion of procedures for the wind power project in Mang Den, Kon Plong district - a place that is attracting tourists from all over the world.
The Kon Plong Wind Power Plant Project was granted an investment policy decision by the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee to the investor, Kon Plong Wind Energy Company Limited, with the project implementation location in Mang Den town and Mang Canh commune, Kon Plong district.
The total area of the project is expected to be 66.04 hectares with a total investment of about 3,500 billion VND. The wind power plant project with a capacity of 103.5 MW is a level I energy project, the project investment feasibility study report was appraised by the specialized construction agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Kon Tum province expects that the Kon Plong Wind Power Plant project, when put into operation, will contribute to the province’s budget revenue. The implementation of the project must comply with legal regulations.
Kon Tum Provincial Government requires relevant sectors, units and investors to go to the field to survey, mark each wind power tower, survey and determine the power line to prepare a project and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for reporting to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for appraisal and submission to the Prime Minister for approval according to regulations.
After the Prime Minister approved the planning of Mang Den tourist area with wind power project, the next steps will be implemented.
