On March 11, the AVP website released a video recording the moment the Russian army attacked the Krasnogorovsky refractory plant with a heavy bomb FAB-1500. The factory had been turned into a fortified military position by the Ukrainian army.
According to AVP, a direct impact on the plant's boiler room caused a powerful explosion and created a dense cloud of dust.
The Krasnogorovsky Refractory Plant, located in Krasnogorovka, is currently being used by the Ukrainian military as a site for barracks, ammunition depots and armored vehicle shelters. The precision strikes on this industrial complex are aimed not only at destroying the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ military hardware stocks, but also at undermining the morale of Ukrainian soldiers.
Previously, on March 9, the Russian Ministry of Defense also released a video recording the moment the Russian military destroyed a MIM-104 Patriot long-range air defense system of Kiev forces.
The system was attacked near the settlement of Serhiivka in the Donetsk region. The Russian Defense Ministry said the system was attacked with an Iskander tactical ballistic missile.
Last year, Ukraine received two Patriot batteries, two launchers from Germany, another battery from the US along with two additional launchers donated by the Netherlands.
The systems supplied to Kiev are said to be a combination of PAC-3 active attack missiles to intercept ballistic missiles with a range of 30-60 km and PAC-2 semi-active missiles with high-explosive fragmentation warheads with a range of up to 160 km.
The Russian military has destroyed much of Ukraine’s Patriot system. Recently, reports revealed that Kiev forces have integrated the system’s missiles with Soviet-era command and control radars under a program called “FrankenSAM.”
Recently, Ukraine has moved Patriot systems closer to the front line to counter the Russian Aerospace Forces. Because the Russian air force has inflicted heavy losses on Kiev forces with cruise missiles and glide bombs.
