Creative playground for “green ideas”
Climate change, environmental pollution, extreme weather, the risk of extinction of many animal and plant species, etc. are hot issues around the world. In particular, Vietnam is one of the first and most heavily affected countries by climate change, and is also a country that has participated in all international conventions on this issue. In the fight against climate change, the press and concept designers play an important role in updating information, disseminating knowledge and sharing and spreading solutions. The Academy of Journalism and Communication, which trains young politicians and journalists, is making joint efforts to respond to and solve the problem of climate change with practical actions that are most appropriate to their abilities.
Therefore, “Green Message” is not only a contest, but also a forum for young people to demonstrate their talents, share unique initiatives and inspire the community, raising awareness of urgent environmental issues. In particular, this is also an event in a series of events celebrating the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Sociology and Development - Academy of Journalism and Communication.

Spread the green message
The Green Message Competition is the result of a collaboration program on Integrating Climate Change Teaching for Students between the Friedrich Ebert Institute in Vietnam (FES) and the Faculty of Sociology and Development, Academy of Journalism and Communication (AJC). The collaboration program started in 2015, with training courses for lecturers. Through this, lecturers have gained more basic knowledge and methods of integrating content into their lectures.
The contest has created a playground for students, aiming to encourage and promote the movement of writing about the environment and climate change, and at the same time improve the quality of products on this topic. At the same time, it also encourages research on the Environment and Climate Change, initiatives, ideas and solutions to protect life on earth, protect the environment for future generations.
Let us hope that the good and practical cooperation on the topic of Environment and Climate Change between FES and the Academy of Journalism and Communication, Faculty of Sociology and Development will continue in the coming years. Contributing to the implementation of the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, on improving the capacity to forecast, warn of natural disasters, monitor climate change, and join hands with the international community in solving a global problem.
