Upload speeds also increased by an average of 22.1% across all three networks, meaning users can expect upload speeds above 30Mbps.

The iPhone 16 Pro uses a more powerful A18 chip with more GPU cores, an upgraded cooling system, and Qualcomm's X75 modem, which offers a number of improvements beyond raw speed. It also supports 5G Advanced, which offers lower power consumption and comes with improved 5G carrier aggregation for those aforementioned upload speeds.

The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max feature larger OLED displays measuring 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively, making them the largest-screened iPhones ever made by the company.

The duo is known to have thin bezels, support Promotion, Always-On Display and Ceramic Shield glass. Apple said it continues to use Titanium Grade 5 material, which is more durable and scratch-resistant.

In terms of camera, both have 48MP resolution lenses and focal lengths ranging from 13mm to 120mm. In particular, the iPhone 16Pro has a 5x periscope lens, supporting long-range zoom.

Apple will officially sell the iPhone 16 series on September 20.
