Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Hong Tien, Secretary of the Krong Pac District Party Committee and Head of the Festival Steering Committee, said that the district has more than 8,000 hectares of durian, of which more than 4,000 hectares are for business, with an output of more than 85,000 tons/year. Krong Pac durian has advantages in quality, highly appreciated by businesses, traders and consumers.
The festival not only promotes the Krong Pac durian brand but also introduces the image and people of Krong Pac district to domestic and foreign tourists. This is also an opportunity to honor agricultural farmers, especially durian growers, who have created the district's specialty brand; promote the district's economic, cultural and tourism potential, attract domestic and foreign investment; connect trade between producers, processing and trading enterprises and consumers.

The festival also aims to introduce and promote tourism and durian products to domestic and foreign tourists; creating opportunities to connect garden eco-tourism destinations with tourists and travel agencies.
On that basis, the district and farmers will connect tours and tourist routes in the coming time, contributing to raising the level, expanding the scale of tourist exploitation and gradually professionalizing the garden ecotourism market in the district.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that Krong Pac is the leading locality in the province in terms of area, productivity and output of durian. Currently, durian from Krong Pac district in particular and Dak Lak province in general is not only available in large supermarkets in many provinces and cities across the country but also exported to many countries and territories around the world, improving farmers' income and raising the material and spiritual life of the people.
Krong Pac district has become a bright spot in the province’s agricultural economic development. The province acknowledges and welcomes the efforts of the local Party Committees and authorities of Krong Pac district, along with the dynamism, creativity, overcoming difficulties and challenges, daring to think, daring to do, and sharp thinking of the district’s people.
Mr. Nguyen Thien Van also emphasized that the activities at the Krong Pac Durian Festival are centered on farmers and businesses. In addition, this festival is also a place for managers, scientists, experts, businesses and farmers to meet, exchange, introduce, disseminate, learn and link to promote market expansion, develop the durian industry and other agricultural products.
